marianplatz - mary's plaza - center of munich center city, in front of the glock - which she gets to hear 2-3 times a day!

toured the residanze - 300 years of money and collecting and adding onto the family home - some wonderful and wild stuff - these foo dogs qualify on both counts.

porcelain figurines - they are oriental figures

at least in their costume - love those oriental features -- (GRIN)

the whole place has serious decorating - this hall has portraits of all the ancestors - reminds me of pixs i've seen of the hall of mirrors - versailles

all the serious bling is in the treasury - across the courtyard -- crown - serious bling

and more serious bling - but.....

the emeralds are fake, the real ones were pawned a long time ago..... (I love the metal work...)

george and the dragon - all jewels and enamel.  when I was there a gent was taking truly serious pictures with about a 10" long lens  -- and here I am with my little camera, which none the less has 10x physical zoom, and all these pictures were taken w/out flash - not bad, eh?
